Daredevil Robert "over and out" Overacker attempted to jet ski over Niagara Falls in 1995 to raise awareness of the homeless. His parachute was defective and ol' "over and out" Overacker fell to his death.

To be fair to Mr. Overacker, it can be said that he raised awareness of the danger of performing dangerous stunts.
