For those who succor the SSPX Schism (1)

It was very heartening to see so many supporters of the SSPX take an interest in what this crummy blog had to say about the SSPX being a schism comprised of the ecclesiastical equivalent of draft dodgers.

Well, at least ABS has yet to call them Protestants in Fiddlebacks, but the plain and simple truth (which the haughty schism refuses to hear) is that the Masses they celebrate are illicit, criminal, and sacrilegious as per the teaching of Catholic Tradition.

Of course, such plain and simple teachings will set on edge the teeth of those who succor the schism but some soi disant Trad has to tell them the truth every decade or so.

AD APOSTOLORUM PRINCIPIS

40. And when We later addressed to you the letter Ad Sinarum gentem, We again referred to this teaching in these words: The power of jurisdiction which is conferred directly by divine right on the Supreme Pontiff comes to bishops by that same right, but only through the successor of Peter, to whom not only the faithful but also all bishops are bound to be constantly subject and to adhere both by the reverence of obedience and by the bond of unity."

Acts requiring the power of Holy Orders which are performed by ecclesiastics of this kind, though they are valid as long as the consecration conferred on them was valid, are yet gravely illicit, that is, criminal and sacrilegious.

Of course, long before the world knew who Mons. Lefebvre was, a priest was predicting there would be a new schism just like the old schism:

Fr. Richard Ginder, a former columnist for The Wanderer. In his short book, 1968,  Thou Art the Rock, when referring to the separation of the "wheat and the tares" that took place between Luther igniting the revolt and the Treaty of Westphalia (1517-1648), Fr. Ginder noted the following:

It is the old story of the tares among the wheat. It took 131 years to make a separation once before but with the advance in communications media, we shall not have to wait so long this time. But we shall see it. It will come - very likely in the shape of a heretical sect attributing primacy of honour but refusing jurisdiction to the Holy Father, at the same time proclaiming themselves the only True Believers.

He nailed the SSPX long before it came into existence.

* Do not make the mistake of thinking ABS hates Mons Lefebvre or is not in actual awe of what he accomplished in Africa nor does ABS in any way denigrate his efforts as a Holy Ghost Father. He was an amasing and humble priest but, sadly, he fell on the way along the true path and he wandered off into schism for who know what actual reasons.

ABS thinks he prolly was a victim of mental deterioration/incapacitation and, thus, not culpable for many of his untoward deeds.
