Prayers for Conversions, er, Christian Unity (Ecumenism is the Universal Solvent of Tradition; Example 1 of thousands)

Back in the day, when the Catholic Church professed it was the One True Holy Roman Catholic and Apostolic Church established by Jesus, us Catholics prayed indulgenced prayers for conversions that were published in The Raccolta.

Although modern Catholics deny that outside of the Catholic Church there is neither salvation of sanctification, the modern Church does claim its prayers for Christian Unity are not really a change but a development within continuity.

ABS is in receipt of an email from the modernist,  Professor Herman NuDix
of Continuity College in Rome:

Dear ABS,  I trust this missive finds you filled with the Holy Spirit and open to His surprises as our Bishop of Rome is always calling us to be.

As you well know, Catholic Doctrine does not change and so my heart continues to be oppressed, distressed, and even redressed by your unchanging ways.

You have chosen to set your will like flint against the humanist updating of our Catholic weltanschauung (That's a big German world I do not expect you to understand, to say nothing about spell it or speak it correctly) and its right reasoning that all christian communities are the same with Catholics only more so.

Now, I know you and your ilk prolly have a collection of the 1957 Denzingers Brothers "The Raccolta" in your library at home and that you prolly even read it.

Horrors...

Whatever, let me just finish by reminding you, as our Bishop of Rome would say, that your Pharisaical ways are wicked and wanting.

Why not join us in the twenty first century and pray the prayer for Christian Unity:

Prayers For the Christian Unity #1

Eternal Father,
we praise you for sending your Son
to be one of us and to save us.
Look upon your people with mercy,
for we are divided in so many ways,
and give us the Spirit of Jesus to make us one in love.

We ask this gift, loving Father,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Your friend

Here are the prayers for the Pre-Ecumenical Catholic Church.

Call me atavistic but the prayers from the Raccolta
suppressed by Pope Paul VI are quite different in intent
and content with a clear vision of the results of the self-inflicted
pains and grave loss owing to the protestant progenitors.
