Insurance companies collude. They do not compete.

ABS and The Bride had an insurance claim for water damage settled two years ago and now we are being punished for the audacity of collecting on a legitimate claim.

The punishment is in the form of additional temporary surcharges that will cost us more than the insurance company paid for the legitimate water damage claim.

The insurance companies - part of America's FIRE  (Finance, Insurance, Real Estate) economy - do not compete to gain your business. They collude to ensure that any claims they have paid out will be collected (often more money than they paid to settle a claim) before another insurance company will take your business.

The insurance companies are not regulated by Congress because Congress does not care one damn whit about you or your family.

But keep voting...
