The Holocaust of Mass includes Four Different Sacrificial Parts

1. The holocaust offered to God was an homage/offering to His sovereign greatness.

2. The sacrifice of expiation, offered to appease His Justice.

3. The Sacrifice of impetration offered to implore His bounty.

4. The Eucharistic sacrifice offered to thank Him for his bounty.

The Mass is a Holocaust which the One True Holy Roman Catholic and Apostolic Church offers to God as an offering to His greatness and power; a sacrifice of expiation to appease His Justice; a sacrifice of impetration to solicit His bounty; and a Eucharistic sacrifice offered to Him in thanksgiving for all of His favors.

The Holocaust demands a spirit of humility, the sacrifice of expiation, a spirit of penance, compunction, and penitence; the sacrifice of impetration, a spirit of fervor and submission; the Eucharistic sacrifice, a spirit of love and gratitude.

If this does not convince you, dear reader, that the Lil' Licit Liturgy is a rupture with The Real Mass then nothing will.

This is what Bergoglio really thinks about the Mass for it is not what he says but what he has done that is conclusive:

STD Papist

ABS was born and bred to be a KJPL  (Knee Jerk Papal Loyalist) but, beginning with Pope John 23rd, ABS has learnt to become an STD Papist (Sick To Death) of Popes.

Here is how the old Catholic Encyclopedia entry on Pope reads:

He is to be the principle of unity, of stability, and of increase. He is the principle of unity, since what is not joined to that foundation is no part of the Church; of stability, since it is the firmness of this foundation in virtue of which the Church remains unshaken by the storms which buffet her; of increase, since, if she grows, it is because new stones are laid on this foundation.

Since ABS is the same age as Israel, and since he was born into the Church at the time when Pius XII was Pope, he can witness to the plain and simple truth that the encyclopedia definition of what the Pope does is an absurdity - especially the modern Popes, including, sadly, Pius XII who promoted Anibale Bugnini and blowed-up Holy Week.

ABS was seemingly born into a period of great stability but the truth is he was born into a revolutionary time in ecclesiastical history and still invisibilium within the Hierarchy is that prelate whose puissant possession of Tradition is such that it could be applied as a force against our Inertia Into Indifferentism.

The odd fact is that as the institutional turmoil has accelerated in frequency and intensity, ABS has experienced a dramatic increase in the peace of Christ, and that alone is what keeps him sane and stable.

But, that is only to be expected, right?

Jesus created His Church for two purposes:

and what'ever'n'hell this or that Pope is doing is no substantial barrier to attaining unto both of those those ends for those who know and love Jesus Christ.

In his back yard ABS grows heirloom tomatoes (Black Krim and Purple Cherokee) and just so, dear reader, you will not get the wrong impression (That he is unaffected or above the frothing and frustrating fray) know that ABS looks at his statue of Mary and sings this song to his own self:

ABS has an Olive Wood statue of St Michael made by poor Palestinians living in Bethlehem

Prayer to Saint Michael The Archangel

O Glorious Prince of the heavenly host, St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in the battle and in the terrible warfare that we are waging against the principalities and powers, against the rulers of this world of darkness, against the evil spirits. Come to the aid of man, whom Almighty God created immortal, made in His own image and likeness, and redeemed at a great price from the tyranny of Satan.

Fight this day the battle of the Lord, together with the holy angels, as already thou hast fought the leader of the proud angels, Lucifer, and his apostate host, who were powerless to resist thee, nor was there place for them any longer in Heaven. That cruel, ancient serpent, who is called the devil or Satan who seduces the whole world, was cast into the abyss with his angels. Behold, this primeval enemy and slayer of men has taken courage. Transformed into an angel of light, he wanders about with all the multitude of wicked spirits, invading the earth in order to blot out the name of God and of His Christ, to seize upon, slay and cast into eternal perdition souls destined for the crown of eternal glory. This wicked dragon pours out, as a most impure flood, the venom of his malice on men of depraved mind and corrupt heart, the spirit of lying, of impiety, of blasphemy, and the pestilent breath of impurity, and of every vice and iniquity.

These most crafty enemies have filled and inebriated with gall and bitterness the Church, the spouse of the immaculate Lamb, and have laid impious hands on her most sacred possessions. In the Holy Place itself, where the See of Holy Peter and the Chair of Truth has been set up as the light of the world, they have raised the throne of their abominable impiety, with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck, the sheep may be.

Arise then, O invincible Prince, bring help against the attacks of the lost spirits to the people of God, and give them the victory. They venerate thee as their protector and patron; in thee holy Church glories as her defense against the malicious power of hell; to thee has God entrusted the souls of men to be established in heavenly beatitude. Oh, pray to the God of peace that He may put Satan under our feet, so far conquered that he may no longer be able to hold men in captivity and harm the Church. Offer our prayers in the sight of the Most High, so that they may quickly find mercy in the sight of the Lord; and vanquishing the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, do thou again make him captive in the abyss, that he may no longer seduce the nations. Amen.

V. Behold the Cross of the Lord; be scattered ye hostile powers.

R. The Lion of the tribe of Judah has conquered, the root of David.

V. Let Thy mercies be upon us, O Lord.

R. As we have hoped in Thee.

V. O Lord, hear my prayer.

R. And let my cry come unto Thee.

Let us pray.
O God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we call upon Thy holy Name, and as supplicants, we implore Thy clemency, that by the intercession of Mary, ever Virgin Immaculate and our Mother, and of the glorious St. Michael the Archangel, Thou wouldst deign to help us against Satan and all the other unclean spirits who wander about the world for the injury of the human race and the ruin of souls. Amen.

Catholic Bumper Sticker Season is here

It was the evangelicals who first began promoting the "Keep Christ in Christmas" bumper stickers but in doing so they promote only one-half of the Truth; well, evangelicals do renounce the Mass so what they do is not unexpected.

As an aside, it is interesting to note that one major source of employment in the Midwest is the huge number of security guards routinely hired to police and protect the enormous buildings that house the "What Would Jesus Do?" shirts, sweaters, tee shirts, wrist bands, head bands, wallets, pocket books, sheets, socks, stockings, book jacket covers, towels, pillow cases, lunch boxes, hair ribbons, ear rings, lucky rabbit feet, and Birthday gift wrapping paper once so favored by the evangelical community.

But now, before getting to the bumper stickers, hear some Advent beauty that will be denied to the vast majority of Catholics because the 1960s radicals put the Real Mass on the revolutionary rack and so all one can hear in now the Lil' Licit Liturgy is the demonic drivel of the St. Louis Jebbies...

Christmas (n.)
"Church festival observed annually in memory of the birth of Christ," late Old English Cristes m├Žsse, from Christ (and retaining the original vowel sound) + mass (n.2).

ABS has spoken to the Knights of Columbus who sell the stickers after Mass but they are unconcerned that Catholics help promote half-truths.

In fact, they are angry with ABS pointing the obvious fact out; that they are aping protestants in presenting to the world half-truths.

ABS been learnt that one must do these things on his own...

Christ the King Sunday

The Four Sins crying to Heaven for Vengeance: murder (Gn 4:10), sodomy (Gn 17:20-21), oppression of the poor (Ex 2:23), and defrauding workers of their just wages (Jas 5:4).

The Four Sins crying to Heaven for vengeance have all been approved of by either positive law or popular majoritarian moral sanction:

MURDER of the unborn in the womb is legal.

SODOMY is legally codified and morally praised by most.

OPPRESSION of the poor is being accomplished by mass immigration (which is an assault on the wages of the working class) and treaties which have destroyed manufacturing (manufacturing, mining, farming are the three aspects of a healthy economy).

DEFRAUDING workers of their just wages via mass immigration and usury which is legally sanctioned (but morally illegal) loans (Vix pervenit)

These serious sins are reflective of America’s war on Jesus Christ and His Commandments and it is a war that was embedded deeply in our foundational attitudes and documents (if only by omission).

Jesus Christ is King of Heaven and Earth and any nation that is at war with Him by legislating that which He condemns is doomed to defeat and destruction.

What is most amazing about our plight is His patience.

And yet American Bishops urge us to pray for American Style Religious Liberty

Here is a thoughtful series on the novelty of Religious Liberty:

Caution on the catechesis of the mass by Pope Francis

Continuing with the catechesis on the Mass, we can wonder: what is the Mass, essentially? The Mass is the memorial of the paschal Mystery of Christ. It makes us participants in His victory over sin and death, and gives full meaning to our life.
Therefore, to understand the value of the Mass we must first and foremost understand the biblical meaning of “memorial”. It is “not merely the recollection of past events but … they become in a certain way present and real. This is how Israel understands its liberation from Egypt: every time Passover is celebrated, the Exodus events are made present to the memory of believers so that they may conform their lives to them” ( Catechism of the Catholic Church , 1363). Jesus Christ, with His passion, death, resurrection and ascension to heaven, brought the Passover to fulfilment. And the Mass is the memorial of His Passover, of His “exodus”, that He fulfilled for us, to bring us out of slavery and to introduce to the promised land of eternal life. It is not merely a memory, no, it is more: it is making present what happened twenty centuries ago.

Anticipating possible problems resulting from this catechesis of the Mass, ABS wants to address and correct a modern error - that the Last Supper/First Mass was a seder.

The Seder (Order) Meal was developed by Rabbinical Judaism after Titus had destroyed the City of Deicide as this Jewish author states:

Almost everyone doing serious work on the early history of Passover traditions, including Joseph Tabory, Israel Yuval, Lawrence Hoffman, and the father-son team of Shmuel and Ze’ev Safrai, has rejected Finkelstein’s claims for the great
antiquity of the bulk of the Passover Haggadah.

What is particularly significant about this consensus is that these  scholars are not radical skeptics. These scholars believe that, generally speaking, we can extract historically reliable
information from rabbinic sources. But as demonstrated by the late Baruch Bokser in his book The Origins of the Seder,  practically everything preserved in the early rabbinic traditions concerning the Passover Seder brings us back to the time immediately following the Roman destruction of the Temple in 70 C.E.

It’s not that rabbinic literature cannot be trusted to tell us about history in the first century of the Common Era. It’s that rabbinic literature—in the case of the Seder—does not even claim to be telling us how the Seder was performed before the destruction of the Temple.

Council of Trent (Sess. 22, c. 1): “After Christ had celebrated the ancient Passover, which the multitude of the sons of Israel sacrificed in memory of their going out of Egypt, He instituted a new Passover, that He Himself should be immolated by the Church(ab ecclesia), by means of (per) the priests, under (sub) visible
signs, in memory of His passage from this world to the Father,  when He redeemed us by the shedding of His Blood, and delivered us from the power of darkness, and translated us to His Kingdom.

Catena Aurea:

Why didn't Hahan cite Trent or Tradition?  Because, presumably, a prot and a lib are sexier...

(Jeremias was a prot and Jungmann was a lib)

Grading the Pope

Catholic Encyclopedia:

He is to be the principle of unity, of stability, and of increase. He is the principle of unity, since what is not joined to that foundation is no part of the Church; of stability, since it is the firmness of this foundation in virtue of which the Church remains unshaken by the storms which buffet her; of increase, since, if she grows, it is because new stones are laid on this foundation.

ABS has to say that he is not doing too well on the pop quizzes but there is always hope he will do better on the final.

There will be no objection from Bishop Emeritus Ratzinger if Pope Francis ditches Summorum Pontificum

Bishop Emeritus Ratzinger is four square behind what our Holy Father does:

Only where there is mercy does cruelty end, only with mercy do evil and violence end. Pope Francis is totally in agreement with this line. His pastoral practice is expressed in the fact that he continually speaks to us of God’s mercy. It is mercy that moves us toward God, while justice frightens us before Him.

It is quite clear that Bishop Emeritus Ratzinger. thinks the Justice of God is cruelty and that the sola mercy praxis of the Holy Father is the way to go.

The heterodox error of separating Mercy from Justice is that Jesus is pitted against Himself for, in truth, He is both Justice and Mercy and dividing Him is the result of a vast liberal theological conspiracy.

It seems to ABS that Bishop Emeritus would not be at all forlorn if the Holy Father ditches Summorum Pontificum because when he was Pope, he described his Motu proprio as an act of tolerance:

Fr Federico Lombardi, S.J., Director of the Holy See Press Office: What do you say to those who, in France, fear that the "Motu proprio' Summorum Pontificum signals a step backwards from the great insights of the Second Vatican Council? How can you reassure them?

Benedict XVI: Their fear is unfounded, for this "Motu Proprio' is merely an act of tolerance, with a pastoral aim, for those people who were brought up with this liturgy, who love it, are familiar with it and want to live with this liturgy. They form a small group, because this presupposes a schooling in Latin, a training in a certain culture. Yet for these people, to have the love and tolerance to let them live with this liturgy seems to me a normal requirement of the faith and pastoral concern of any Bishop of our Church. There is no opposition between the liturgy renewed by the Second Vatican Council and this liturgy.

Come on, the difference between the Real Mass and the Lil' Licit Liturgy is like the difference between lightning and lightning bug (Mark Twain) and the reason we Catholics have so few Real Masses is that the hierarchy has abandoned the truth of  the necessity of the Sacrifice of Propitiation - to appease God's anger against us for our uncountable number of sins - because He loves us just the way we are:

Even though John The Baptist, Jesus, and Saint Peter all began their ministry with calls for repentance, that mean praxis is from a time we have abandoned, for God loves us just the way we are - whether we are active sodomites, whether we are atheists, or whether we are divorced and shacked-up.

There has only ever been one religion

Q. What is religion ?

A. Religion, according to St. Augustine, is the bond which unites man to God ; in other words, religion is the society of man with God.

Q. Explain this answer?

A. Between parents and children there exist ties, or natural and sacred relations. In the same manner there exist relations between God, the creator and father of man, and man, who is the creature and child of God. The ties which exist between God and man are even more sacred than those which unite the son to his father.

Q. Why so?

A. Because we owe more to God than a son owes to his father ; God is our creator and our last end, which cannot be said of our earthly fathers. From which we must conclude that our obligations to God are much more holy than are the obligations of children to their parents.

Q. What does the word religion signify?

A. The word religion signifies the tie by excellence, or the re-tieing. The tie by excellence, because religion unites us in a supernatural manner to God, who
is the most perfect of beings ; the re-tieing, because our Lord, by offering himself up to his father as a victim for us, has re-established the supernatural union which existed between God and man previous to original sin.

Q. Is there any other religion than the religion of
Jesus Christ?

A . No, there is no other religion than the religion of Jesus Christ, because Jesus Christ alone, as both God and man, could expiate sin, reconcile man to God, and re-establish the supernatural tie which united them.

Q. Is the true religion, or religion of Jesus Christ, of ancient date?

A. The religion of Jesus Christ is as ancient as the world. For it goes back to the time when the Son of God offered himself to his Father to redeem man, and has always had as the object of its faith and its hope this same Mediator and the same rewards.

Q. Has religion been at all times as fully taught as it is at the present day?

A. No, religion has not been at all times as fully
taught as it is at the present day. But it has not on
that account ceased to be the same religion, any more than man, by passing through the different stages of life, ceases to be the same man.

Q. What difference is there between the faithful who preceded and those who have come after the Messiah ?

A . The difference is that the ancient just believed in Jesus Christ to come, whilst we believe in Jesus Christ already come. Our faith, our hope, our religion is the same as that of the patriarchs and prophets.

Q. Why did God delay so long the coming of the
Messiah ?

A. He delayed the coming of the Messiah so long, 1st, in order that man might know, by a long experience of his miseries, the need he had of a Redeemer, and that he might desire his coming more ardently.
2d, that he might recognise Jesus Christ as the Messiah, seeing that all the figures, promises and prophecies were accomplished and verified in him.

Q. What has been the object of all the designs of
God since the commission of original sin ?

A. The object of all the designs of God, since the
commission of original sin, has been to save man. Be fore the coming of the Messiah, all his designs had for their end to prepare man s redemption, and since the coming, to maintain and extend its blessings to all men.

Q. What fruit do we derive from this truth ?

A . The fruit we ought to derive from this truth is, to love God as he has loved us, constantly and solely.

Q. Why did God make known the mystery of the
redemption only by degrees ?

A. God made known the mystery of the redemption only by degrees, in order to consult man's weakness. A great many previous miracles were necessary to dis pose him to believe this greatest of all miracles.

The Messiah promised and prefigured. First Promise. Adam and Abel the first and second figures or types of the Messiah.

Q. How did God make known the Redeemer to

A. God made known the Redeemer to come, 1st,
by promises, 2d, figures, and 3d, by prophecies.

Q. What do you understand by figures of the Messiah ?

A. By figures of the Messiah, I understand certain actions, certain events, certain personages, that represented beforehand the characteristics and actions of the Messiah.

Q. How do we know that the patriarchs, the sacri
fices, and the whole Jewish people were a figure of the Messiah ?

A. We know that the patriarchs, the sacrifices and the whole Jewish people were a figure of the Messiah, 1st, on the authority of our Lord himself, and that of the apostles and evangelists. St. Paul in particular says that Jesus Christ is the end of the Mosaic law, and that whatever happened to the Jews was a figure
of what was accomplished among Christians.
2d, on the authority of the fathers of the church ; St. Augus tine says that the whole Jewish people were only a grand figure of the Messiah.
3d, by the conformity or resemblance of the figures to our Lord, for in look ing at several portraits of the same person, drawn by
different artists, no one would say that all these por raits resemble the person merely by chance.

Q. Did the patriarchs and ancient Jews know, in
general, the sense of the promises, figures, and prophe cies of the Redeemer ?

A. The patriarchs and ancient Jews knew, in
gen eral, the sense of the promises, figures, and prophecies of the Redeemer : the better instructed among them had a clear knowledge of it, the rest had what was necessary for their salvation.

We praise Thee, O God: we acknowledge Thee to be the Lord.
All the earth doth worship Thee and the Father everlasting.
To Thee all Angels:
to Thee the heavens and all the Powers therein.
To Thee the Cherubim and Seraphim cry with unceasing voice:
Holy, Holy, Holy: Lord God of Hosts.
The heavens and the earth are full of the majesty of Thy glory.
Thee the glorious choir of the Apostles.
Thee the admirable company of the Prophets.
Thee the white-robed army of Martyrs praise.
Thee the Holy Church throughout all the world doth acknowledge.
The Father of infinite Majesty.
Thine adorable, true and only Son
Also the Holy Ghost the Paraclete.
Thou art the King of Glory, O Christ.
Thou art the everlasting Son of the Father.
Thou having taken upon Thee to deliver man
didst not abhor the Virgin's womb.
Thou having overcome the sting of death
didst open to believers the kingdom of heaven.
Thou sittest at the right hand of God
in the glory of the Father.
We believe that Thou shalt come to be our Judge.
We beseech Thee, therefore, help Thy servants:
whom Thou has redeemed with Thy precious Blood.
Make them to be numbered with Thy Saints in glory everlasting.
Lord, save Thy people:
and bless Thine inheritance.
Govern them and lift them up forever.
Day by day we bless Thee.
And we praise Thy name forever:
and world without end.
Vouchsafe, O Lord, this day to keep us without sin.
Have mercy on us, O Lord: have mercy on us.
Let Thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us:
as we have hoped in Thee.
O Lord, in Thee have I hoped:
let me never be confounded.
