ORLANDO, Fla. -- The NBA isn't resting on its laurels as a pacesetter in sports diversity.
The league has again earned an A grade in a study of the diversity of its leadership in its front office and its 30 teams.
The Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport at the University of Central Florida released its annual report on the league Thursday. The NBA received an A-plus for race ....
The study found that 83 percent of the league's players were people of color this season, with the percentage of African-American players increasing one point to 78 percent. The percentage of Asians remained 1 percent, the percentage of Latinos rose slightly to 4 percent and percentage classified as "other" was under 1 percent.

So, a Professional Sports League has 17% of its rosters represented by whites in a country that was 74% white in 2010 and that is considered a sign of "Diversity?"

It has gotten long past the point where these political categories have lost any semblance of logic or reason but, yet, we are told if we do not bow down before the putative beauty of these bathetic categories then we will be thought a racist.

Diversity is our strength is an empty, meaningless, political, thought-stopping slogan, that could have appeared in the novel, 1984. If you ever catch yourself saying that publicly, or even thinking it privately, consider going to Confession.*

* On second thought, there is no need for Confession if you entertain those thoughts because any man who thinks and believes in such stupidities is insane and, thus, not likely culpable for the sin of idolatry that belief in these MC/PC slogans represents
