Far less than meets the eye

Ecumenism is the Universal Solvent of Tradition .

Traditionalists Prespond to Synod forming. Translators sought.

We at ABE Ministry have asked our Founder and Chairman, Amateur Brain Surgeon, to prepare a response to the upcoming Synod that will actually be a prespond (If the modernists can generate neologisms so can we).

A prespond will be a response prepared in advance and actualised before the Synod begins in Rome in October and we plan to have many men mobilised to greet the participants as they arrive in the eternal city.

As Founder and Chairman of ABE Ministry (Against Basically Everything), Amateur Brian Surgeon is also at liberty to create and become the Chairman of any Sub-Ministry or Committee he desires be brought into existence and so ABS has established the Committee of made-up Saint Quotes and which committee has recently reported that after a bottle and a half of quality cabernet and a lengthy nap it has found a useful quote by Saint Francis Xavier who famously said, I really dig the whole pagan islands and their Haka which, as you well know, is a ancestral war dance, the purpose of which is to demonstrate the prowess of the warriors and to, hopefully, scare the enemy away from engaging in battle.

Following the sage observations of this powerful Saint, we at ABE Ministry, led by Amateur Brain Surgeon, now know what it is we must do to try and scare hell into the Synod participants so they will not have the nerve to change the multi-millennial year discipline of refusing Holy Communion to adulterers and which discipline is so intricately and intimately and inseparably entwined with Jesus, Bible, Tradition, and Ecclesiastical praxis and which discipline was recently reiterated by Pope Saint John Paul II in Familiaris Consortio. *

ABE Ministry is prepared to lead a 300 strong man contingent of the flummoxed faithful in a Traditionalist prespond to what is sure to be a ghastly result of the upcoming Synod on inculcating chaos or whatever'n'hell it is called but we require a few good men to translate this Haka into Latin.

Now, imagine our group in Saint Peter's Square facing the Basilica, it won't be just the usual scene there of poorly-dressed Americans, some homeless waiting to shower, or some Mahometans proselytising, but 300 male trads as we, physically, illustrate how it is the Pope and Prelates need not go out to the peripheries when we can bring the periphery to Rome to defend the Faith.

Believe us at ABE Ministry when we say DO NOT START THIS WAR...

However, the Church reaffirms her practice, which is based upon Sacred Scripture, of not admitting to Eucharistic Communion divorced persons who have remarried. They are unable to be admitted thereto from the fact that their state and condition of life objectively contradict that union of love between Christ and the Church which is signified and effected by the Eucharist. Besides this, there is another special pastoral reason: if these people were admitted to the Eucharist, the faithful would be led into error and confusion regarding the Church's teaching about the indissolubility of marriage. Reconciliation in the sacrament of Penance which would open the way to the Eucharist, can only be granted to those who, repenting of having broken the sign of the Covenant and of fidelity to Christ, are sincerely ready to undertake a way of life that is no longer in contradiction to the indissolubility of marriage. This means, in practice, that when, for serious reasons, such as for example the children's upbringing, a man and a woman cannot satisfy the obligation to separate, they "take on themselves the duty to live in complete continence, that is, by abstinence from the acts proper to married couples." (Familiaris Consortio, 84)
