Theology of The Body

Theology of the Body *

The Meaning of Man's Original Solitude

In the last reflection of the present cycle we reached an introductory conclusion, taken from the words of Genesis on the creation of man as male and female...

The problem of solitude is manifested only in the context of the second account of the creation of man. The first account ignores this problem. There man is created in one act as male and female. "God created man in his own image...male and female he created them" (Gn 1:27). As we have already mentioned, the second account speaks first of the creation of the man and only afterward of the creation of the woman from the "rib" of the male. This account concentrates our attention on the fact that "man is alone." This appears as a fundamental anthropological problem, prior, in a certain sense, to the one raised by the fact that this man is male and female. This problem is prior not so much in the chronological sense, as in the existential sense. It is prior "by its very nature." The problem of man's solitude from the point of view of the theology of the body will also be revealed as such, if we succeed in making a thorough analysis of the second account of creation in Genesis 2.

The claim being made here is that Adam is both male and female. * ABS keeps thinking he is reading this wrong and misunderstanding the words, but, there it is for all the world to see.

But, this can not be for God did not create Adam as a hermaphrodite, did He?

Well, according to the Kaballah He did;

But where, in Catholic Tradition, has such a captious claim ever been advanced?

In any event, contrary to the objections of the usual perverts - feminists, modernists, and sodomites -  man is a synecdoche used by God to represent both male and female.

But, that is not what has ABS on the verge of declaring all hours happy hour from this moment on.

In acknowledging that Pope Saint John Paul II is the author of this text that has entirely triumphed in the intellects of the Church hierarchy, and especially amongst American intellectuals, ABS apologises for such temerity, but isn't this gnostic Kaballahistic bullshit entirely severed from what Saint Thomas Aquinas taught about Adam ?

IF what Pope Saint John Paul II teaches about the nature of Adam is true (He was both male and female) , then we do not have any basis for criticising Bruce Jenner if he becomes  so confused that he has his reproductive organs surgically mutilated for Bruce, it can be argued, was created, like Adam, as both male and female and Bruce may just well be more enlightened and courageous than ABS or thee - if this teaching is true - and, by taking advantage of the surgical sciences, Bruce has solved the genetic dilemma he inherited by choosing boldly to surgically eliminate any material male manifestations constantly reminding him of his existential confusion/dilemma.

Who would have thought that Bruce Jenner could find the teaching of a Catholic Pope Saint that could be used to explain, and even justify, surgical mutilation?

* O, and I am not even getting into the other claims of the opening sections; claims such as  that Adam revealed himself to himself for I have no damn idea what that curious claim even means; although it is redolent of the error that MAN is the center of everything now.

The essence of what St Thomas teaches is that Adam was the most intelligent man ever created and Adam named all the animals and so what the hell is the claim that the naming of the animals was a test ?

That was not the test Adam faced in Genesis...

What do ANY of these claims have to do with Tradition?

And what about Jesus whose human nature is of Adamic origin and is dogma?  Is Jesus also part male, part female?
